Gold filled is a layer of gold pressure bonded to a base metal. A great alternative gold plating because its more durable, more affordable, and more versatile.
Although gold filled jewelry is tarnish resistant, here are a few tips to help keep its shine over the years
- Avoid exposure to chlorine, pools, hot tubs and anything with strong chemicals like perfume, lotions, and makeup.
- Avoid working out or doing any physical activities with your jewelry on
- Regularly clean your jewelry using mild soap. Do not rub, simply pat dry
- Clean your jewelry by wiping it with a soft, moist cloth and mild soap. Finish by assuring the piece is dried well with a polishing cloth.
Gold Vermeil
Our vermeil pieces are crafted with a high gold plating of 2.5 microns over a sterling silver base for a more elevated finish.
How to take care of your vermeil pieces:
Wear your pieces often and gently wipe them with a soft microfibre cloth in between wear. To avoid the wearing of your plating, remove when in contact with water, lotions, perfumes or sweat.
Heavy gold plating
A high gold plating of 2.5 microns over brass, providing enhanced durability, tarnish resistance, and hypoallergenic wear.

Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) is a process that vaporizes real gold and applies it onto a stainless steel base. We offer in 14kt and 18kt gold.
